Unlike all other temples, musical instruments are never played inside the temple premises. No bells are ever rung during poojas either. The temple always maintains a silent atmosphere which is conducive for meditation and prayer.

When we circumambulate these siddhas cast their looks on us and gradually change our lives and take us into their fold.

The rituals and mantras used are in the siddha tradition of worship and are extremely effective.

The moola (seed) mantras and mantras for various other prayers / poojas are being given by the Mother, on as and when required basis.

All the sacred chants or Manthras like (Vinayagar Potri, Navagraha Potri, Archanai Malargal, Sivasakthi potrigal, Mandhirappaavai Potrigal, Thirumagal Potrigal, Sanibhagawan Potrigal, 1008 Potri Mandhirangal, Sakthi Kavasam, Vendudhal Kuuru, Parasakthi Kannigal) were received from the Divine voice of Mother. When these devotional chants are chanted at home, with purity and sincerity, blessings of the divine power, synonymous to that of chantings like Nayanmar’s Devaram, Alwar’s Dhivyaprabandham can be achieved.

The uniqueness of the temple is the sacred Mandhirappaavai Mother – the prime deity of Siddha’s, with beeja yantra and is beauty appears with four hands and bless the devotees.

In our temple it is believed that the 18 Siddhas are in yogic state before the Mandhirappaavai Mother, meditating upon the Divine Mother. Hence, the prayers in the temple are conducted silently without loud noises of the traditional bells or other musical instruments.

The temple is run, for 12 months at a stretch, by one of the eighteen siddhas, in turn.

The audit reports are verified by the Mandira Pavai once a quarter. Unbeleivable? But, it is true. The modus operandi is secret.

All devotees, irrespective of their caste, colour and creed, are permitted to do Abishekam of the Mother on all full moon days, subject to certain laid down (see Sakti Malai) conditions.

To redress the grievances of devotees visiting the temple, various yagnas (Known as Velvigal in Tamil) are preformed. The rules, sacred chants and procedures for performing these yagnas, which were originally translated into Tamil by Korakkar Siddhar, has been adopted and modified and given to us by the Divine Mother accordingly to suit modern times. As we follow the procedures as stipulated by the Divine Mother along with due faith and sincerity, all your ambitions will be fulfilled.

The temple serves as a one stop destination for resolving shortcomings and problems of life by the grace of Divine Mother Annai Aadhiparasakthi, relief from evil elements and enemies by the grace of sacred Mandhirappaavai Mother and Siddhargal, abundance in wealth by the grace of Goddess Mahalaskhmi and wisdom by the grace of Goddess Gnanadevi.

The Temple Personnel do not go around with printed receipts doing door to door canvassing. They ask Her and She provides them.

Before seeking the blessings of above mentioned deities, the blessings of Lord Ganesh should be sought by lighting 1 ghee lamp to avoid hindrances. The prayer procedures are explained in the forthcoming pages.
