Mahalakshmi Valampuri Sangu Pooja(RIGHT TURN CONCH SHELL)
IMPORTANCE OF RIGHT TURN CONCH SHELL
The greatest scientist of the last century, Albert Einstein in his theory has explained all particles have gravitation and repulsion forces in detail.
According to his theory, sub-atomic particles present in this galaxy interact with each other by forces attraction, repulsion, expansion, contraction and disappearance. The vibrations that occur during these interactions are primarily the cosmic acoustic vibrations. These cosmic vibrations are always present throughout the galaxy.
These five types of vibrations act as five elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Sky) five letters, five philosophies namely (Creation, Protection, Destruction, Blessing and Disappearance). These are present in our custom as the 5 types of dances of Lord Nataraja.
Any vibration or atomic particle that merges with the resonant force of creation comes out as a life form.

RIGHT TURNED CONCH SHELL POOJA
We humans wish to live a happy and peaceful life with good health, wealth, happiness and prosperity. This is the reason when we seek blessing from the elders, they bless us to live a happy life filled with 16 types of wealth.
These 16 types of wealth are No Disease and Ailment, Education, Money, Cereals (Food), Beauty, Fame, Praised, Youth, Wisdom, Children, Strength, Self-Confidence, Long life, Victory, Good deeds and Care.
According to our faiths, Goddess Mahalakshmi, gives the above mentioned 16 types of wealth.
Once Mahan Aadhi Sankaracharya, according to the rules of sainthood asked for alms, while doing so he happened to ask for alms in a very poor family. The saint who was respected as a god by this family felt bad as they didn’t have anything to give him. Sensing this he asked them to give some small quantity of any eatable. They searched the entire house and were able to find a small portion of dried gooseberry and lovingly requested him to accept the same.
Understanding the noble thoughts of this family, Mahan Aadhi Sankarar prayed to goddess Mahalakshmi to bless the family with wealth and get rid of their poverty.
Goddess Mahalakshmi, who appeared in the Mahan’s thoughts told him that the family cannot be helped for they have to live this life due to their past life karma.
Mahan Aadhi Sankarar requested Goddess Mahalakshmi that this family be elevated in wealth on behalf of him as they have good thoughts in this birth. Further he prayed to Goddess Mahalakshmi by composing and reciting Kanakadhara Stotram (Sacred Chant). Goddess Mahalakshmi fulfilled the Mahan’s request by showering the family with golden gooseberry fruits. It can be known from the history of Aadhi Sankarar that the family lived prosperously thereafter!
Likewise, if we might have committed any sins, by surrendering to Goddess Mahalakshmi and requesting such saints to pray for us, it is evident that we can also lead a happy, prosperous and a wealthy life.
By praying upon the Goddess Mahalakshmi and the dedicated devotees of Lord Shiva, namely the Siddhas present in our temple one can attain all wealth in life.
On every full moon day evening, special poojas pertaining to Goddess Mahalakshmi is performed with sacred chants of mantras given by the Siddhas.
