Siddhar Pulasthiyar

He had many physic powers. Being a clairvoyant, he could hear, see, smell, taste things placed at a far way place, using his senses. He was a staunch follower of ahimsa and never could tolerate people hurting cattle. He conducted magic shows to surprise the people, and was an expert in Mantra Vidya. He used to convert himself into a copse and meditate standing on some vertical danagerous hill side. He was an authority on herbs. By praying and meditating on him, one can get to know about the unspent Karma / past sins and the remedial pujas to be done for obliterating the same.

Speciality

This venerable Siddhar is known for the extraodinary control of his 5 senses, because of which his body is comparable to fire. He’s known for exceptional Gnanam (knowledge of truth) and mental prowess. Those who reach out to Pulasthiyar on Wednesdays at the Pallikaranai Sakthi Temple through devotion are blessed with proficiency in public speaking (captivating the audience), good memory and peace of mind.

Other ways to worship

In addition to the above worship on a specific day, we recommend that devotees continue visiting and praying to the Siddhars at the temple on full-moon (Pournami) and new-moon (Amaavaasai) days as this is believed to enhance the results.

Optionally, during this 18-week worship period, the devotees may sponsor the Siddhar Malar Malai which is offered on all full-moon days.

On completing this 18-week worship, devotees will start to observe positive changes in their lives with the blessings of Siddhar Pulasthiyar. We encourage devotees who have received the intended results of their worship to sponsor the Pournami Annadhanam at our temple as a mark of thanksgiving to Siddhar Pulasthiyar; nearly 3000 people are fed on each Pournami day.
